In the gourmet chef's kitchen, Weiler's main goal was to meld the design w/ the outdoor space, allowing the river to be the focal point in the floor-to-ceiling windows which make up the entire north & east walls. In addition, the cabinetry's high-gloss finish creates an understated, low-key reflection of the room's natural surroundings. The kitchen combines a classic clean-line design, traditional marble counters, professional appliances & a custom-made, one-of-a-kind range hood designed to look like it came out of an old factory. The entire house utilizes farmhouse, industrial & luxury elements. Weiler preserved & highlighted such organic features as the original stone walls of the rear foyer & fp & the pumpkin pine floors. Industrial elements were incorporated t/o the house in lighting, furniture, & countertops.
